The Missing Hero

Every time the phone beeps,

His wife is hoping a call from him.

They had a small baby,

Waiting for Daddy to return.

Every time there is a letter,

His mother open it with her hands trembling.

She is sick and weak,

But in her eyes there lies a  a dream.

The news is displeasing,

But still his Dad watch with hope.

He is old now,

And walks with a stick.

News from the war zones,

Turns them yellow.

There are more and more stories,

Of wife, mother and father of all those missing soldiers.
